New Delhi : It seems that Samsung is planning to launch two new smartphones in India. The South Korean technology giant has sent out media invites for an event scheduled for June 14, where it'll likely launch the Galaxy J5 (2017) and Galaxy J7 (2017) smartphones. The invite reads, "Life is now. Our next innovation is ready for big launch."
In terms of specifications, Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) comes with a 5.2-inch HD Super AMOLED display of 720x1280 pixel resolution. The smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and is powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7870 SoC, paired with 2GB of RAM. There's 16GB of internal storage, with support for microSD cards of up to 256GB in size.
The smartphone has two 13MP cameras, one each at the front and the back. Having a fingerprint sensor and a 3,000mAh battery, the Galaxy J5 (2017) offers 4G VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS as major connectivity options.
On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) features a 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display of 1080x1920 pixel resolution. It runs Android 7.0 Nougat and is powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7870 processor, paired with 3GB of RAM. The smartphone offers 16GB of internal storage, with support for microSD cards of up to 256GB in size.
Imaging duties are handled by two 13MP cameras, one each at the front and the back. The dual-SIM smartphone comes with a fingerprint sensor and houses a 3,600mAh battery. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS as connectivity options.
Recently, Samsung slashed the price of Galaxy C9 Pro smartphone in India. Originally launched at Rs 36,900, the smartphone has got a price cut of Rs 5,000 and is now available at Rs 31,900. It can be purchased both on Samsung's online store.
